Thank you for visiting our Reception page. At Our Lady’s, we understand how important it is for children to have a smooth and happy transition from nursery into Reception. Our smaller setting, combined with a warm, family feel, allows us to nurture each child as an individual, helping them to settle quickly. This close-knit environment builds strong relationships between staff, children, and families, laying the foundation for a positive start to school life. We provide parents with digital access to their child's learning journey, which includes photographs and notes of their child's engagement in their learning through their Tapestry Online Journal.
Reception is a vital year in your child’s education, helping form the foundations for learning. At Our Lady’s, we embrace a balanced approach to learning—blending purposeful play with carefully planned adult-led activities. This allows children to explore, discover, and develop at their own pace, while also being guided and supported by our experienced and dedicated team. Through engaging environments, meaningful interactions, and a curriculum designed to inspire curiosity and confidence, we ensure that every child thrives and feels excited about learning.
