As of January 2021 our school is only open for vulnerable children and those whose parents are classed as critical workers. We are continuing to keep our curriculum in line with our school day as best that we can.  

Our School Day

September 2020  - December 2020

 

Class 1

 

8.30 am: Class One door will be open

8.40 am:

I will be part of collective worship with my class and sometimes Mrs Byrne will come to our class to talk about the VIP and present certificates.

Daily Phonics

I will also do English or Maths

10.30 am:  Break in our outdoor provision area.  But first we have our snack.

11.00 am:

My next lesson which will be English, Maths or RE.

12.00pm:

My lunch time in the hall and time to play with my friends 

1.00pm:

On a Monday Mrs Byrne does collective worship via our screen - we all sit on the carpet.

On other days we listen to stories and get prepared for our afternoon activities.

On a Friday we get extra play after lunch.

Our afternoons are full of interesting lessons where we learn though exploring, play, making and most importantly fun.

We always have the opportunity to read as the love of a reading is a golden thread through our school.

2.15pm  We have a break enjoying our outdoors.  We get to enjoy another healthy snack in the afternoon.

3.15pm At this time we meet our parents in the playground.  Sometimes we will go to different clubs or after school club.

Class 3

 

8.30 am: I walk around school to the playground and line up.  I ill be met by my class teacher, walk into school and go to my locker.

8.40 am: 

I will be part of collective worship with my class and sometimes Mrs Byrne will come to our class to talk about the VIP and present certificates.

We will start with our daily spelling rule.

My  lesson will start, which will be English.  Our lessons will be linked to our class book and we will learn how to be creative and factual writers.

10.10am:  Break in our play ground with out door equipment.  We will have tuck shop.

10.30 am:

I will then have my Maths lesson.  Our year groups will split here so that we can be mastery at our age

 

12.00pm:

My lunch time in the classroom and time to play with my friends.

 

1.00pm:

On other days we do our independent reading and have our VIP time.

Our afternoons are full of interesting lessons where we have RE, Geography, History, Art and Design, Music, PE, Science and Computing.

2.15pm  We have a time to run outside - to keep up fit and healthy.

3.30pm At this time we are taken to the front of the schol to meet our parents.  Sometimes we will go to different clubs or after school club.

8.30 am: Class Two door will be open if you have come with your brother or sister who starts at 8.30am.

8.45 am: Class Two will enter school.

I will be part of collective worship with my class and sometimes Mrs Byrne will come to our class to talk about the VIP and present certificates.

I will then have my English lesson which will be focussed around our class book.

10.30 am Break in our play ground with out door equipment.  We will have tuck shop.

10.50 am:

Daily phonics

My next lesson will start, which will be maths.  Our year groups will separate here so we can be mastery at our age.
