Autumn Term 2020
We have had lots of fun getting to know each other and making new friends. Our Year 2 children have really embodied the Gospel Values of love, compassion and kindness when helping our new children settle in to Otter Class.
Our highlights this half term have included celebrating The Feast of Our Lady where we learned about Mary, taking part in Science Week and taking our learning outside where possible to learn about God's beautiful world. Our focus book this half term has been 'Here We Are' by Oliver Jeffers. The children in Otter Class have explored a variety of themes including friendship, kindness and caring for the world around them.
Your teachers for this year are Mrs Margeson, Mrs Cush, Mrs Poynton and Mrs Halligan
This term has been a little different for Otter Class. We entered another national lockdown due to the Covid pandemic in January, which resulted in the children learning remotely. We were very proud of how hard you worked whether you attended school or accessed online learning at home.
It was lovely to be back together in March and it meant that we could say goodbye to the wonderful Mrs M who retired at Easter. We will miss you!
Summer Term 2021
Otter Class would like to welcome Mrs Jaggers who will be teaching alongside Mrs Cush and Miss Halligan this term.
We have been enjoying taking our learning outdoors as much as possible. The Year 1 children are enjoying learning in the outdoor classroom.
Otter Class have been very busy learning a beautiful signed version of the Hail Mary in preparation for our Marian Procession.
