Lovingly we Learn in Harmony

Welcome to Class 2's Page

Autumn Term 2019

We have had lots of fun getting to know each other and making new friends. Our Year 2 children have really embodied the Gospel Values of love, compassion and kindness when helping our new children settle in to Class 2.

Our highlights this term have included learning about Harvest Festival, taking part in Science Week, learning to play cricket with Jake, performing in our Nativity Play at Church, going to the cinema as a treat and of course our Christmas dinner and party! We have also really enjoyed performing stories from the Bible with our friends from 'Open the Book'.

Your teachers for this year are Mrs Margeson, Mrs Jaggers and Mrs Hallett.

Spring Term 2020

We would like to say a massive congratulations to Mrs Jaggers on the birth of her beautiful baby boy. We would also like to welcome Mrs Caulfield, Mrs Halligan and Miss Gill into our Class 2 family. They will be working with us every morning.

Class 2 continue to amaze us every day! They are all working so hard and we are very proud of them. This term we have really enjoyed exploring the story of Rapunzel (complete with a witch wearing yellow bloomers), singing 'I Like books' on stage at The Forum as part of Furness Voices and learning all about the explorer Ernest Shackleton and his adventures. We also enjoyed celebrating World Book Day with our special visitors from Barrow Raiders and our local firefighters. We have also taken part in Mrs Crellin's road safety campaign and helped raise money to buy some signs for outside school. As part of Anti-Bullying week, we really enjoyed watching a visiting theatre company perform 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' and explored how important it is to be kind to everyone.

Stations of the Cross - Easter 2020

EYFS and Class 2 came together with Mrs Harrison and Mrs Hallett to pray the Stations of the Cross together. During our Infant Family Mass at Church we joined with Father Paul and our Parish family and visited each station singing a traditional song and praying together.

Summer Term 2020

Well Class 2, this Summer Term has certainly been very different. We have loved seeing how busy you have been at home and are so proud of how well you are managing being in lockdown for all this time. All of the grownups in Class 2 have missed seeing your happy, smiley faces everyday and we can't wait to welcome you back to school when it is safe to do so. Take care everyone, stay safe and be good for your parents!

Love from Mrs Margeson, Mrs Hallett, Mrs Jaggers, Mrs Caulfield, Mrs Halligan and Miss Gill xXx
